The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for the proper utilization of materials and equipment to perform a variety of routine maintenance tasks including preventive maintenance, scheduled work orders and shop upkeep.

Pay - $19 - $22 depending on experience/

M-F - 8:30am - 5pm

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responds immediately to all life safety alarms.
• Completes work orders accurately and in a timely manner
• Installs and maintains communication systems.
• Troubleshoots and repairs electrical systems.
• Repairs and maintains lighting fixtures.
• Repairs and maintains plumbing systems.
• Repairs and maintains healthcare equipment.
• Assists in preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC.
• Performs preventive maintenance, and assists in chemical treatment of HVAC and water recreation systems.
• Assists in the preventive maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment.
• Maintains and assists in the repair of residential appliances.
• Assists in the maintenance of buildings and equipment throughout the campus.
• Drives company vehicles and equipment.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum two years’ experience in facility maintenance or related services field.
• Valid Washington State Driver’s license.
• Motor Vehicle Record check with no serious violations recorded.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and electricity.
• Ability to use power and non-powered tools to make repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot building maintenance problems.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Able to work independently using good judgment and common sense.
• Regular, predictable, dependable attendance.
• Ability to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge and willingness to apply safe work practices.
